Use of MCS Materials

Personal educational use

MCS resources are provided primarily for personal educational, teaching and revision purposes. You are welcome to access, download and print MCS materials for your own study and exam preparation.

You may also use downloaded or printed materials as part of your own learning or, where appropriate, during teaching with your own students.

What you may do

• Download resources for personal educational use.
• Print resources for your own study or teaching.
• Use the materials as part of your own revision, lessons or educational activities.
• Link to MCS pages or individual resource pages from another website or document.

What you may not do

Unless you have received written permission from MCS, you must not:

• reproduce or redistribute MCS resources for public download;
• upload copies of MCS resources to other websites, file sharing services or resource-sharing platforms;
• sell, licence or commercially exploit MCS resources;
• include MCS resources in a paid resource library or subscription service;
• modify and republish MCS resources as though they were your own materials; or
• remove copyright, attribution or other ownership information from the materials.

Your own work

Using an MCS resource for revision does not transfer ownership of the resource to you. Your own answers, notes, annotations and other original work remain yours, subject to any rights belonging to other people or organisations.

Third-party material

Some pages may refer to examination boards, specifications, textbooks, programming languages, software or other third-party material. Names, trademarks and third-party content remain the property of their respective owners.

This policy applies to original MCS materials and does not grant permission to reproduce material owned by third parties.

Linking to MCS

You are welcome to link to the MCS website or to a specific resource page. Where possible, please link to the original MCS page rather than copying or hosting the resource elsewhere.
